Darren’s 25+ years of diverse experience in architecture and construction began with a curiosity about the built environment and the process of turning a design idea into a finished building. He received his Bachelor and Master of Architecture degrees from the University of New Mexico and has previously served with the U.S. Army. As a licensed architect specializing in construction administration, Darren is passionate about design and construction details, finding solutions, and delivering high-quality construction. He is committed to sustainable design, construction best practices, and exceeding client expectations. His passion for delivering high-quality healthcare projects also led Darren to become a Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC). A CHC specializes in healthcare planning, design, and construction processes related to patient safety, systems, and healthcare equipment, scheduling impacts, sustainability, regulations, quality assurance, and project close-out and occupancy. With this additional specialization, Darren increases his ability to serve RTA’s many great healthcare clients.
