Construction for Valley-Wide Health System’s new community health and wellness center in the historic Alamosa Courthouse has officially begun!   Currently on the National Historic Register, the adaptive reuse of the courthouse will retain the character of the original building and ensure it remains on the Register. The renovation will transform the space into a wellness center that provides integrated health services to the community. Interior modifications will create a primary care clinic, behavioral health services, physical therapy treatment space, conference space, and support areas. The existing exterior arcade will be enclosed and converted into an interior space, with the existing arched openings converted into windows that provide ample daylight for staff and patients.
