The Pueblo Community Health Center East Side Clinic has earned a National Recognition Award in the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) 2024 Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) competition! The National Recognition Award is a prestigious national distinction honoring projects demonstrating exceptional engineering excellence at the national level. The East Side Clinic is the first Zero Energy Verified Medical Outpatient Building in the United States, according to the New Buildings Institute. The design of this state-of-the-art clinic was truly a collaborative effort between the project team, Pueblo Community Health Center, and Pueblo community members. Sustainability features include triple-glazed fiberglass windows, sunshades, a geothermal heating/cooling system, and a 280 kW PV array.
