Why
The Sisters Grove Pavilion was created to provide a convenient one-stop outpatient setting in close proximity to the St. Francis Medical Center with patients, physicians, and staff in mind.
How
RTA engaged in extensive user group meetings with the client, which resulted in a plan to design a series of treatment pods that would scale down the patient experience. The team at RTA also created a main reception and waiting area that guides patients into separate sub-waiting areas for women’s services, ultrasound, x-ray, nuclear medicine, and CT/MRI. This design allows the staff to provide individual attention to the diverse patient population of Sisters Grove Pavilion.
What
Penrad Imaging is located on the garden level of the pavilion and convenient patient parking is provided in the adjacent parking structure. Also, the central reception area is easily seen from the entry and provides a warm and contemporary environment, reinforcing the state-of-the-art technology. Soft space was provided in the treatment pods to allow for future expansion of the procedure rooms.
The project included both a 20,000-square-foot diagnostic imaging suite and a 25,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center, outpatient rehab area, sleep lab, and medical office space.
