After completing a master plan in 2023 that indicated the need for a preschool, Platte Canyon School District again retained RTA to remodel the existing District Administration offices to create preschool classrooms.

The project consists of the interior renovation of the existing District Administration building. The existing spaces will be modified to accommodate four full-day preschool classrooms. Each classroom will have a restroom, sink, and cubbies with room for sixteen to twenty cots. The classroom corridor flooring and lighting will be updated to match the theme of the classrooms. In addition to the interior renovations, a new age-appropriate playground will be added. The playground will feature a trike track, sandbox, play equipment, and a sledding hill. Additional exterior doors will be added to the new classrooms to allow easy access to the playground.
RTA built upon the information gathered during the master plan and worked collaboratively with the District to develop the design. Through meetings with the District staff, school board, and user groups, RTA ensured that the final designs met the needs and vision of the District and staff.
