RTA was selected to conceptualize, design, and provide professional services for this completely unique and ancient tradition of Christianity. This particular orthodox design of plan and elevation was required to honor an architectural tradition that literally traces itself back to the time of Christ. The parish and clergy required the temple to accommodate an equally important and ancient Divine Liturgy.

The edifice was designed to celebrate the ancient and the traditional with variegated masonry exterior walls, copper domes and semi-domes, and ceramic gable roofs. The temple features multi-colored stone floors and plastered vaults. For RTA, this project provided the unprecedented opportunity to work with a denomination that is, in essence, Eastern European in tradition and unique in its requirements for architectural design.
Sensitively designed exterior and interior spaces allowed for a seamless combining of sacred architectural space and the essential liturgical needs of time-honored Mass.
