Glacier Ice Cream
Cherry Creek and Colorado Springs,

The RTA team worked to refine the existing Cherry Creek Glacier Ice Cream experience by updating the Cherry Creek and University Village locations to further integrate and immerse customers into the brand. In the University Village shopping center, RTA worked closely with the developer and local franchisee to create an ice cream experience welcoming both families and college students through a modern interior.

The University Village Earth-toned stained concrete and warm wood tones are balanced with a cool contemporary paint and tile scheme throughout. The lighting and exposed ductwork add a feeling of whimsy to the space while it continues to be a sophisticated environment. At Cherry Creek, RTA was successful in taking a common program, small space, and simple forms to create an engaging and memorable place for Glacier Ice Cream clientele.
Exploring the spaces before they were built through the use of building information technology (BIM) and Revit (a 3D building information modeling computer program) allowed RTA to create an eye-catching sculptural piece in the Cherry Creek location and maximized the available interior space at University Village.
