Originally constructed in 1925, Cañon City Middle School's recent groundbreaking was a much-anticipated event! CCMS students, staff, and community members gathered to celebrate the beginning of the renovation and addition to the 94-year-old facility. Cañon City Middle School was successfully awarded a BEST grant in May 2018 and retained RTA to ensure the renovated middle school will be able to support 21st Century learning while retaining the historic elements of the original 1925 building.
