The plan for implementation is an effort to organize the district priorities and associated projects along a timeline for completion. The adjacent timeline begins to focus on strategy adopted by Manitou Springs School District after the failled bond election in 2021. It includes projects identified in the 2020 master plan that have been completed to improve district facilities and extends into the future to include capital projects proposed as part of the current master plan. Below is a timeline for completion. 

2022 - Master Plan Update

2022-2023 - Completed Facility Improvement Projects

Ute Pass Elementary School - Renovation including controlled entry vestibule, administration area renovation, interior corridor finishes, and full roof replacement. 

Manitou Springs Elementary School - Renovation including controlled entry vestibule, administration area renovation, interior corridor finishes, and full roof replacement. 

2022-2025 - Master Plan Update Identifying Capital Projects for Improvement 

Capital Projects identified at all district facilities. 

2025 - Proposed Bond Election

2026 - Proposed BEST Grant Application to supplement bond proceeds

2026-2028 - Complete Construction of Identified Capital Projects 

2028 and Beyond - Future Planning

 Continue to plan capital renewal projects and learning environment improvements to all facilities through a priority planning process and funding available. 

Ultimate Goal - 

Modern 21st century facilities at District schools support a forward-thinking curriculum, catering to students of all abilities, enhancing teacher retention, fostering growth, and drawing new students to the District.  

Adjactent is an outline that begins to focus on this strategy and is broken down by four categories. 

The current work outlined adjacently includes activities that are defined and established by the District that have target completion years indicated for established projects. Further down the timeline indicated is unknown how this process will be implemented and excecuted. It is anticipated that many of the projects will be planned within the next five years. The execution of design and construction of these projects is dependent upon many factors that are not known at this time. This is an effort to outline these priorities and projects based on a timeline to allow planning activities to occur.
