Space Foundation Renovation
After completing renovations to the Space Foundation Discovery Center office spaces, RTA Architects was retained to complete additional renovations to the Discovery Center itself. RTA worked closely with the Space Foundation team to ensure that the design met the needs of users and fit within budget constraints.
The Space Foundation Discovery Center is an educational and interactive museum dedicated to space science and technology. It is the only museum of its kind in the region, and it introduces students and visitors to STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) through the exciting lens of space exploration.
The renovations will rejuvenate the Discovery Center and create new opportunities for visitors to learn and explore. The interior renovations include updates to the Exhibit Hall, the creation of a new 3D printing, additive manufacturing lab, a Drone Zone, Science on Sphere, and updates to the Construction Mars Yard.
