Centura Healthcare Systems was looking to increase their mission-based service depth in the north central Denver area. With several senior services already available on the existing campus, Centura reached out to RTA in order to complete their senior care model by adding assisted living and memory care facilities to their campus. RTA planned a two-story facility that houses 49 memory-care beds and 36 assisted-living beds.
A major challenge for this project was site master planning on a small 3.8-acre site, which also included a small pond. Another challenge was the need for RTA to assist Centura in resolving many campus code and service facility upgrades required by the local jurisdictions, which added $750,000 to the overall project budget.
The resulting Life Care campus is full of senior services completely dedicated to delivering outstanding care for the residents. The 36 assisted-living apartments provide a wellness-focused, light-filled environment with diverse options for group and individual activities. The 49-bed-capacity memory care center gives residents a completely safe and stimulating environment. It also serves the unique needs of memory-challenged residents and their families by providing appropriate resources, stimulation, and a robust menu of therapies.
