UCHealth Memorial North Cardiology Suite Expansion

Colorado Springs, CO

Why

Connecting through experience of place.

In order to meet the growing need for cardiovascular services in the region and provide the highest level of care, RTA was retained to develop a solution that would expand the existing Non-Invasive Cardiac suite and a add a new Cardiology Nuclear Imaging Suite. To accommodate the expansion, the hospital’s main registration pre-admission testing and gift shop were strategically relocated, re-envisioned, and re-branded.

How

Ever curious. Ever learning. Ever improving.

RTA conducted on-site meetings with the cardiology staff throughout the design process to gather information on their needs and requirements. These meetings ensured that the final design creates a more cohesive Cardiology Departmental Suite from the perspective of both staff and patients.

What

Purposeful, engaging solutions.

Outpatients coming in for Cardiology, Nuclear Imaging, or Lab services will enjoy a new shared waiting area equipped with new furniture and dining areas. Major signage in the lobby will be updated to improve wayfinding. Security will be moved to a larger work area adjacent to the lobby, and the Chaplain office will be relocated to be more conveniently located next to the chapel.
