Ericka M. Everett, Emerging Professional

After receiving her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon, Portland, Ericka joined RTA in 2018 with more than five years' experience already under her belt. Her previous experience working on projects with aggressive schedules has taught Ericka to be detailed oriented, organized, and proactive. Ericka enjoys working on projects with specialized programs and finding solutions to challenging design problems. She sees every new project as an opportunity to meet and learn from new people and expand her understanding of how buildings change who we are and how we work.

Jheanelle joined RTA in 2016 after completing multiple education programs in Jamaica and receiving her Masters of Architecture from Florida International University. She is motivated by community based projects, where architecture acts as an engine for change. Jheanelle enjoys knowing she makes a difference with her work, both socially and economically. When she begins a new project, Jheanelle asks herself who the building is serving and how the architecture can invest in the dignities of the community that it will serve. Jheanelle’s work ethic, unique perspective, and drive to help others makes RTA and the communities we serve a better place.

Kitaen moved to Colorado Springs after gaining experience writing for the communications sector of public health. She graduated from the University of Memphis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism, and a minor in English. Her love for Colorado and the opportunity to do impactful work is what led her to RTA. Kitaen is a skilled and detailed writer who enjoys researching, editing, and problem solving. Her unique skillset helps to fulfill an important role at RTA.

Ben D. Foster, Architect

From building tree forts in the woods of Michigan with friends, to insisting on driving through (rather than around) cities to see their skylines and downtowns, Ben knew from an early age that he wanted to be an architect. After receiving his Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2009, Ben honed his talents designing new, contemporary projects that connect the user to the place. Ben's creativity and friendly personality help him form excellent client relationships that link their goals to the final design. With 8 years of professional experience, Ben is a vital addition to the RTA team.

Mitchell first joined RTA as a student intern and rejoined the company full time after completing his Master of Architecture from the University of Kansas in 2018. With residential framing experience, he enjoys working on construction details and projects with a sustainability focus. Mitchell decided to pursue a career in architecture because it has the potential to address environmental and cultural topics. He enjoys exploring new workflows and learning new skills to improve both the efficiency and quality of his work. Mitchell's versatility, teamwork, and appetie for knowledge are welcome qualities at RTA.
