Delta County Joint School District High School Additions & Renovations
Why
Delta County Joint School District retained RTA to complete a series of renovations at each of their three existing high schools to create new administration suites, secure and safe entries, and improve athletic program spaces.
How
RTA worked closely with district representatives and school staff to develop and refine the project scope and establish the number, type, and size of spaces needed for each school location. This close collaboration ensured that the final design met the needs of the goals and needs of the schools.
What
All three high schools have the same original design and will receive similar renovations that have been customized based on the population and needs of each school. Renovated spaces will include the commons/cafeteria, locker room, and auxiliary gym support spaces. New additions consist of an auxiliary gym, weight room/wrestling room, secure vestibule, administration offices, a new exit for the weight/wrestling rooms, and site exterior concrete/pathways. The administration spaces will be relocated directly adjacent to the new vestibule, creating a secure entrance into the school that allows for direct visual and physical control of the entry vestibule.
